Rodney Hammond has had a life-long love of fishing and kayaking and has shared that love with the world on his YouTube channel that has received nearly half a million views. He has served on the Christina River Watershed Cleanup Committee since 2011 and has Co-Captained the Hale-Byrnes cleanup site with Nancy Parker, Hale Byrnes's incoming Board President, since 2012.

Rodney is the founder of Hookset Fishing, an organization that hosts local fishing tournaments and recruits conservation-minded fishermen to help with local cleanup events. He is also a sponsored kayak angler for Delaware Paddlesports based in Lewes. He leads how-to seminars for kayak fishing and lends expertise at events.

Rodney is the creator of the Facebook group Friends of the Christina River that he uses to share info and recruit cleanup volunteers. Footage of Rodney fishing at the Hale-Byrnes House was used in a movie in 2009 for a successful Shad in Schools program and he's very excited to play a part in the historical heritage of the area he where he loves to fish.
